KEDIRI — Universitas Nusantara PGRI (UNP) Kediri, through its academic community, has taken a definitive step toward globalizing local heritage by hosting an International Community Service Collaboration. Partnering with Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) Malaysia and local community organization Kim Denmas Dermo, the initiative operates under the strategic theme: “Co-Canvasing Batik Dermo Kota Kediri Go Internasional.”
Held on December 20th, 2025 in Kediri, this cross-border collaboration aims to empower local batik artisans by integrating academic research with practical, international market canvassing strategies. The program serves as a bridge connecting traditional Kediri craftsmanship with broader, global market opportunities.
During the primary session, speakers provided comprehensive tactical guidance on market positioning, digital integration, and product scaling. The collaborative forum allowed local stakeholders to interact directly with academic facilitators, breaking down the concrete steps required to elevate Batik Dermo’s competitiveness on the international stage.
This synergy between UNP Kediri and UTP Malaysia extends beyond standard community service; it represents a commitment to sustainable economic development and bilateral academic impact. By equipping local artisans with international perspectives, UNP Kediri continues to solidify its role as a catalyst for community empowerment and creative economy growth.
